- GB women’s football team beat Brazil with probably the most accomplished performance I’ve ever seen from them. For once, I actually enjoyed watching.
- The GB women’s volleyball game didn’t end until about 12:40am yesterday so people may have missed me saying the greatest British achievement of the Olympics so far was their win. I stand by that. Two of my favourite parts were the lass that was constantly pulling her shorts from her fanny (pic related) and the lass at the net who was just trolling the fuck out of the Algerians.
- Nonetheless, beach volleyball has, without doubt, the best atmosphere of any of the events.
- How is Rich Fancy Horse Prancing (I think that’s what it’s called) in the Olympics? And golf, if darts is not? Disgraceful.
- Still don’t understand fencing but it still looks fucking awesome.
- The Chinese and Mexican women’s diving teams do some crazy shit. So good.
- The rest of the diving teams (the shitter ones) were just watched in case they provided nipslips, which they did (I counted two). Some of their bodies are incredible and unlike gymnasts, they aren’t 4’11 or 12 years old. Back of the net.
- Kinesio Tape should only be allowed on the body in nice, pretty patterns.
- Laura Robson played Maria Sharapova. Won’t pull any punches; only tuned in because Laura’s a 6.5 and Maria’s a 9.2 (Football Manager rating system in use here) but it actually turned out to be a fantastic match so that was cool. Britain’s brave Andy Murray did well too.
- Women’s handball and volleyball tomorrow so the quicker I go to sleep, the sooner it’ll be on. Na night.
- P.S. That Phelps fella can swim a bit.
